My last photograph at the end of a decade ...
I travelled with my talented son Sam in his snazzy low-to-the-ground 1973 Mazda RX2 to the Car Wash in Greenpoint, which was manned by a team of speedy Mexicans who cleaned it well, by hand.
The vehicle sounded throatier than normal with a hole in its exhaust, backfiring at each stop. It turned heads, particularly those of Puerto Rican origin, because that model is very collectible and many wanted it for themselves.
On the way back to Williamsburg we found a big cemetery. The dying light was soft, painting the scene in an etherial manner.
In my pocket, as a prop, I had the right hand of an old mannequin. It pays to think ahead.
